Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce the problem of receiving an invalid check by providing a check number file storing and holding the check number of the check treated to be invalid and a check number retrieving means. CONSTITUTION:When a check key is key-inputted after the sales register of a merchandise, CPU of POS(information controlling at the time point of sales) terminal equipment 12 reads the check number read by a check reader/writer 17. Then, a check number enquiry message is transmitted to a store processor 11. The store processor 11 retrieves the check number file of the check treated to be invalid formed on a hard disk by the check number in the message. When the coincident check number is registered, the equipment check is judged to be invalid so as to respond to the terminal equipment 12 that it is invalid. The terminal equipment 12 receives this so as to display to a display equipment that the check is invalid.
