Abstract:
Quasi-crystalline boehmite (QCB) has an additive other than lanthanide, in a homogeneously dispersed state. Independent claims are also included for (A) a process for the preparation of quasi-crystalline boehmite (QCB), comprising converting a QCB precursor and the additive to the above QCB; (B) a catalyst composition comprising the above QCB and optionally a binder material; (C) a shaped particle comprising the above QCB; and (D) transition alumina obtainable by thermal treatment of the above QCB.
