PURPOSE: To reduce the amount of a used liq. crystal and to shorten the time required to manufacture liq. crystal display elements by arranging seal patterns for a plurality of cells between 2 substrates in the form of matrix, forming a liq. crystal injecting hole in a large-sized seal pattern enclosing said patterns, and filling a liq. crystal into the cells at once.

CONSTITUTION: A plurality of liq. crystal filling parts are formed on a transparent substrate 1 with seal patterns 2. A large-sized seal pattern 7 enclosing the patterns 2 is formed, other transparent substrate is superposed, and a liq. crystal injecting hole is formed. The superposed substrates 1 are put in a vacuum device 5, and a liq. crystal is injected. Thus, the liq. crystal can be injected into the cells at once, and the amount of the liq. crystal stuck to the outside of the cells can be reduced. Accordingly, the number of stages and the cost can be reduced.
