PURPOSE: To remarkably reduce the registering time by providing a printing amount processing part which executed the proportional control using the differ ence between a preset limit temperature and a detecting output as the deviation and the number of printing dots per unit time as the operating amount.
CONSTITUTION: A printing amount processing part 2 charges the number of printing dots per unit time (operating amount) corresponding to the temperature of a print head 7 through the proportional integral control. The operating amount is a max duty not attaining a limit temperature obtained by the current deviation. Therefore, even a line of the low duty is prevented from being uniformly divided and printed. Since the operating amount is the number of printing dots per unit time, the deterioration of the throughput is prevented. The throughput is improved as a whole. A skew processing part 4 using a movable sensor 15 is able to detect one end and the other end in the widthwise direction of a paper. The position of the paper at the detecting time is obtained from the rotating angle of a motor, from which a skew is detected.
