Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent a foamed silicone packing from getting moldy, by making a skin layer of an unfoamed silicone on the surface of a foamed silicone. CONSTITUTION:A continuous long foamed silicone 8 is moved in the longitudinal direction thereof along a guide roller 16 so that the foamed silicone is introduced into a prescribed liquid silicone 18 contained in a dipping vessel 20. A predetermined quantity of the liquid silicone 18 is caused to cling to the surface of the foamed silicone 8 being guided by a dipping roller 22, before the foamed silicone is taken out of the dipping vessel 20. The liquid silicone 18 is an unfoamed silicone which is a solution prepared, for example, by dissolving a silicone rubber or its raw material with a solvent such as toluene.
