Abstract:
PURPOSE:To remove a solid particle of chromium compound from a lubricant film layer to be formed in a gap between a rotary shaft and bearing pads and to prevent a bearing surface from damaging, by fixing a plurality of detachable dust collectors in gaps formed between each of adjacent bearing pads in a circumferential direction. CONSTITUTION:A solid particle of chromium compound to be floated in a lubricant film layer to be formed in a gap between a rotary shaft 3 and a bearing pad 2 during high speed rotation is moved to a side of the bearing pad 2 through centrifugal force. The solid particle moved to the side of the bearing pad is collided against a slant part 9 of a dust collector body 7 pressed against the surface of the rotary shaft by a spring 14 and is flowed together with lubricant to a screen 11 in an external radiusward direction. The solid particle which is the chromium compound is removed from the lubricant passed through the screen as the solid particle is collected by the screen 11.
