Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device for a washing machine, which can detect the opening of a lid body for a washing tank, and the vibration of the washing tank at a high precision. SOLUTION: This safety device 41 for a washing machine, is respectively equipped with a switch operating arm 42 which is axially supported by an extended part 34 of an upper lid 6 for a main body case 2, a switch for braking of an internal tank, being arranged so as to be in contact with the arm 42, and a vibration detecting lever 45 of which the lower end 53 comes into contact with the arm 42 to rotate the arm 42 when an external tank shakes by a specified width or higher. Then, when the upper lid 6 is opened, the switch is driven by integrally interlocking the arm 42 with the opening of the upper lid 6. Also, when the vibration detecting lever 45 operates, the switch is driven by rotating the arm 42 around the spindle.
