Abstract:
PURPOSE:To precisely damp earthquake shock in a vibro-isolation equipment which functions to improve the earthquake-resistant characteristics of a nuclear fusion device by comparing a difference between responses of base boards to vibration with a set value when the earthquake occurs and then controlling damping force of an electromagnetic damper according to the result from the comparison. CONSTITUTION:When an earthquake occurs, vibration produced on the first base board 1 will be weaker than that on the second base board 2. Acceleration As of the base board 1 and the relative displacement Bs between the base boards 1 and 2 are measured by both a displacement detector 10 and an acceleration detector 12, amplified by an acceleration amplifier 13, then change to absolute values by abolule value calculators 14 and finally input in a comparator 16. The comparator 16 compares the set values A and B from a limit setting unit 15 with the outputs signals ¦As¦ and ¦Bs¦ which are generated from the absolute value calculators 14 for acceleration and displacement, so as to find a ratio of generation frequency between the acceleration and the displacement generated in a vibro-isolation equipment and then generates a gain signal G. On the other hand, the displacement Bs is converted into a signal B's by a differentiator 17, then sent to a control arithmetic operator 18 and the result obtained therein is amplified by a power amplifier 8 and sent to an electromagnetic damper 6.
