PURPOSE: To obtain a method for simultaneous analysis and measurement of a catecholeamine associated compound and an indoleamine associated compound.

CONSTITUTION: In a method for simultaneous analysis and measurement of a catecholeamine associated compound or a compound relating to indoleamine in a sample, the catecholeamine associated compound and the compound indoleamine associated in the sample are separated. By adding periodate to the compound relating to the catecholeamine and the indoleamine associated compound being separated, the compounds are oxidized to be -quinone materials. 1,2-diphenylethylene diamine is added to the catecholeamine associated compound and the indoleamine associated compound being oxidized to be the -quinone materials, so that fluorescent derivatives be produced, and the intensity of fluorescence generated from the fluorescent derivatives is measured.
