Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a battery having high energy density, high charge-discharge efficiency, long cycle life, flat discharge voltage, low self discharge rate, and compact size by using boric acid ester compounds indicated in a specified structural formula as an organic solvent of an electrolyte.

CONSTITUTION: High molecular compound having conjugated double bonds in a principal chain or a conductive high molecular compound obtained by doping a dopant in said high molecular compound is used in at least one electrode of a battery. In this battery boric acid ester compounds indicated in the following general formula are used as an organic solvent of an electrolyte. As the high molecular compound having conjugated double bonds in the principal chain, acetylene high polymers are preferable. As boric acid ester compounds, trimethyl borate, triethyl borate, and tritolyl borate are preferable.
