Abstract:
PURPOSE: To detect the displacement of the winding position of a wire relative to a reel under a contactless state.
CONSTITUTION: In a traverse control of a wire saw device 1, a wire 3 is run under a contactless state between two magnetic sensors 5a and 5b near a reel 4. Also a current is applied through the wire 3, a magnetic field caused by the current passing through the wire 3 is detected by coils, etc., used as the magnetic sensors 5a and 5b, and the wire position is detected from a difference between the outputs of both magnetic sensors.
