PURPOSE: To inspect the components of a fruit easily and accurately at an arehard, to determine the harvest time and to perform management of fertilizer and scheduled production.
CONSTITUTION: The gap 4a in an inspection window 4 having the inspection reagent of an inspection card 2 is filled with a fruit juice through a fluid section 5. The gap 4a is formed with such dimensions as to allow holding of the fruit juice. The inspection card 2 is inserted into the inspection card insertion port 7 of the body 3. The fruit juice in the inspection window 2 is then irradiated with light emitted from alight emitting element. Transmitting or reflecting light is measured by means of a light receiving element which delivers a signal representative of the content of each component of the fruit juice. The content of each component is presented on the screen 21 of a display. Since a plurality of items can be inspected by simply inserting the inspection card 2 into the insertion port 7 of the body 3, the harvest time can be determined and management of fertilizer and scheduled production can be realized.
