Abstract:
PURPOSE:To adapt adaptive algorithm of a lower order to an information environment change of a higher order by extracting a feature quantity from an input signal by a nonlinear adaptive system and recognizing an area in a signal space consisting of the input signal as an element, and processing the signal by a linear adaptive system which is assigned to this area. CONSTITUTION:The signal processor includes a digital filter 14 which totalizes the input signal X by multiplying it by a weight coefficient 12 and is equipped with plural linear product sum computing elements 10 which are varied in weight coefficient 12 in real time by adaptive mechanisms 16 according to learning algorithm such as MSE(mean square error) minimizing the mean square error of the input signal X. Further, the processor includes neural network type processors which process the weighted sum of the input signal X by nonlinear elements and mutually couple them in layers and is equipped with a neural network 20 for category classification which reversely varies the weight coefficient 12 in an off-line state or in real time by learning algorithm such as propagation algorithm and conflict learning algorithm.
