Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a high voltage d.c. circuit-breaker by which commutation of current between switchgears can is done surely.
CONSTITUTION: A high voltage d.c. circuit-breaker 21 inserted into an electricity flow coil 1 is composed of a thyrister bulb 3 and a bypass switch 40 put in parallel to the thyrister bulb. The bypass switch 40 is composed of two gas-blast circuit-breaker arc-extingusihing units 41, 42 connected in series. The gas-blast circuit-breaker arc-extinguishing unit 41 is so set as to open the poles 10msec prior to the gas-blast circuit-breaker arc extingushing unit 42.
