Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a ceramic having orientation and piezoelectric properties, large in electric displacement, suitable for actuators, ultrasonic oscillators, acceleration sensors, and pyroelectric sensors.
CONSTITUTION: The objective ceramic with orientation has the following characteristics: having perovskite-type structure; having a parallel anisotropy in at least two crystal axial directions, and (3) polarization axial directions are parallel with one another after baked. This ceramic can be obtained by synthesizing anisotropically designed particles each ≥3 in aspect ratio through flux method followed by molding and baking these particles.
