Abstract:
The invention relates to a stapler with a staple magazine (22) to take strips of staples with their sides guided between side walls of the staple magazine (22) and a staple feeder (28), sliding in a guide (60) of the staple magazine (22), formed from bent sheet metal, which can be pushed by the fronts (50) of two mutually parallel sides (44) against the sides of the strip of staples (41) in the staple magazine, under the effect of a spring (26). In order to ensure that the staple feeder bears on the sides of the staples without jamming even when thin-walled material is used, the sides (44) of the staple feeder are transversely deformed (48) to form a corner, at least in the region of their frontal edges (50).
