Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the corrosion resistance of an external reinforcement member to a powder flux for the purpose of extending an effective life.
CONSTITUTION: The external reinforcement member 5 of the refractory discharge device having an immersion nozzle 1 and the external reinforcement member which is fixed to the immersion nozzle 1 as a separate component and protrudes upward and downward from the powder flux coating of molten steel during operation consists of zirconium oxide directly bonded without carbon by firing at a high temperature and the immersion nozzle 1 consists of the magnesium oxide bonded to the carbon.
