Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent unburnt fuel and an intermediate product from being discharged while suppressing production of NOx by arranging a heat resisting plate unit, having a heating element, in a subchamber. CONSTITUTION:A heat resisting plate unit 6, which is for fuel from a fuel injection nozzle 4 of injecting the fuel to collide in a direction of a communication hole 16 on the center axis of a subchamber 2, is arranged therein. The plate unit 6 is provided with a heating element 21 controlled by a controller 20. In this way, the fuel, injected from the fuel injection nozzle 4, collides against the plate unit 6 to form a circular film, and ignition is surely caused while promoting mixing with intake air to produce a good mixture. Ignition combustion to the fuel is surely and promptly attained by heating of the heating element 21 at the time of a partial load or the like at a low temperature. Accordingly, unburnt fuel and an intermediate product are prevented from being discharged by performing good combustion while suppressing production of NOx.
