Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve wear resistance by a method wherein a commutator is formed of an alloy containing Si, Cu or Al and/or Cd. CONSTITUTION:An alloy for motor commutator contains Si 1-5%, and Cu 1- 20% or additionally one or two of Al 1-5% and Cd 1-5%. The remaining part is formed of Ag and inevitable impurities. By so doing, wear resistance can be improved without reducing electrical characteristics.
