Title:
EMPTY CAN DISCRIMINATING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0623299
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the empty can discriminating device which has simple mechanisms, is easy to handle and can automatically and efficiently discriminate empty bottles and empty cans by providing a magnet in front of a second discharge port provided in a central part and in the front surface position of an inclined chute provided right under a charging mechanism.

CONSTITUTION: The inclined chute 9 is placed right under the charging mechanism 8. A first discharge port 11 is provided in the extreme proximity to the charging mechanism 8 on the rear surface of the chute and the second discharge port 12 is provided in the central part. A third discharge port is provided at the terminal. The magnet 13 is provided just before the second discharge port 12 and in the front surface position of the inclined chute 9. The empty cans charged from a charge port 1 are rotationally imposed on the chute 9 in the state of maintaining a horizontal state by the charging mechanism 8. The empty bottles which are relatively large in sp. gr. fall from the first discharge port 11. The relatively light empty cans roll down and fall from the second discharge port 12. The empty cans C consisting of ferromagnetic materials are floated by the magnet 13 and roll down to the third discharge port at the end of the chute 9.
