Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a method for a three-dimensional display with which an object in the rear is reproduced and seen through a foreground. SOLUTION: This method for three-dimensional display generates a three- dimensional stereoscopic image by two-dimensional images, resulting from mapping a display object onto a plane from the sight of a viewer on a plurality of display planes with different depth simultaneously with the desired luminance. When the display object consists of a plurality of objects with different depths, one of a plurality of the objects is selected, a two-dimensional image resulting from mapping the selected object on a plane from a sight of the viewer is generated, a step where the generated two-dimensional image is displayed simultaneously on the plurality of the display planes is repeated within an after-image time of human eyes, and the three-dimensional stereoscopic image of a plurality of the objects is sequentially displayed in time division within the after-image time for human eyes.
