Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a vacuum interrupter adopting an electrode prepared by including in Cu a high melting point material such as Cr, wherein the contact resistance value after current shut-off is prevented from dropping.
CONSTITUTION: The electrode of a vacuum interrupter is formed out of a contact 22 and an arc drive part 23 around it. The arc drive part 23 is embodied as a sintering of atomize powder of Cu-20wt.% Cr while the contact 22 as a sintering of Cu-5wt.% Cr containing less Cr than the arc drive part 23, and the two are brazed together.
