PURPOSE: To provide an electrolytic refiner capable of easily coping with the breakage of parts, failure, etc., or easily-controlling the quality of a deposited metal.
CONSTITUTION: A molten metal bath 32 and a molten salt bath 33 are placed into a liq. storage tank 31 so that the latter floats on the former, an anode 34 for electrolyzing metal and a cathode 35 for depositing the metal are dipped in the molten salt bath 33, and the molten salt bath is divided by a partition wall 36 of insulating material into the region on the anode side and the region on the cathode side. A circuit with the molten metal bath 32 as a cathode is provided to the anode 34 and a circuit with the molten metal bath 32 as an anode to the cathode as an electrolytic circuit to constitute the electrolytic refiner. In the refiner, a receiver net 38 to prevent the falling of the broken pieces when the partition wall 36 is broken is provided at a position covering the partition wall 36 in the tank 1. Consequently, the broken pieces are easily recovered even when the partition wall is broken.
