Title:
PARTIAL REPAIRING METHOD OF THERMAL SPRAYING MOLD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6024365
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce considerably the material cost for repair and to eliminate the need for installing a metal spraying device by using a steel material for the repair material of the damaged part of the metal sprayed thermally on the thermal spraying mold.

CONSTITUTION: If a damage (a) such as chipping arises in a thermally sprayed metallic layer 1 of, for example, 13Cr steel with a thermal spraying mold formed by adhering the layer 1 to a support 3 formed of a cast iron by means of an adhesive layer 2, the damaged part (a) is cut off from the layer 1 across a part of the layer 2 according to the cutting line A. A repair body 5 is formed of an SS material to the shape conforming to the shape of the cut part 4 formed by such cutting and fine grooves 6 are formed thereon to a checker shape or the like to assure adhesion to the surface to be adhered to the thermal spraying mold. Each surface of the part 4 is subjected to sand blasting for the same purpose and an adhesive agent such as "Debcon A" is coated on each surface of the part 4 and the adhering surface of the body 5. The surfaces thereof are mated with each other and the body 5 is adhered and cured to the thermal spraying mold and thereafter the mold is subjected to finishing.
