CONSTITUTION: A button type alkaline battery (SR626) is formed out of a sealing plate as a negative terminal in common, a negative electrode active material 2, a separator 3 made of a polyethylene graft film and the first cellophane, the second cellophane and nonwoven fabric, a positive electrode material 4, a positive electrode case 5 and an insulation packing 6. For the preparation of the separator 3, four layers of the tape type polyethylene graft film, the first cellophane, the second cellophane and the nonwoven fabric are coiled like a roll, while a polyvinyl alcohol solution deaerated in advance is being applied between separator materials, and, then, dried in vacuum at a temperature of 30°C for two minutes, thereby providing the separator 3.
