Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a paint having excellent water-repellency, waterproofing property, corrosion resistance, snow-adhesion resistance, weather resistance and lubricity and provide a method for applying the paint. CONSTITUTION:A water-repellent paint is produced by mixing and dispersing (A) powder of a low-molecular weight polytetrafluoroethylene having a molecular weight of 500-20,000 and fluorinated at its terminals in (B) at least one kind of resin selected from acrylic silicone resin, polyester resin, epoxy resin, acrylic resin, urethane resin and fluororesin or their mixture at a volume ratio of 1-70vol.% measured after evaporating volatile components. This invention also relates to the coating method with the paint. The paint has wide application range and is usable in a wide field such as outdoor facilities for electrical communication necessitating a long-term reliability.
