Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the subject woven fabric, excellent in supersoft hand and drapeability with hardly any slippage without causing creases by using specific fasciated mix spun yarn as warp and weft yarns, weaving the yarns under specified conditions and then successively subjecting the resultant woven fabric to weight reduction and rubbing processing. CONSTITUTION:Fasciated mix spun yarn of (A) 5-28wt.% cellulosic fiber composed of a fiber bundle of no twist and fasciate fiber wrapped around the fiber bundle and (B) 95-72wt.% polyester fiber is used as warp yarn and/or weft yarn and woven so as to provide 10-16 cover factor (CF) defined by the formula (W and F are the densities of the warp and weft yarns; Ne and Ne' are the English counts of the warp and weft yarns, provided that W is 50-65 yarns/in; F is 45-55 yarns/in and Ne and Ne' are 30-100'S). The resultant woven fabric is then subjected to weight reduction processing and further rubbing processing to afford the subject woven fabric in which the aforementioned fiber bundle of no twist is released from the fasciation of the fasciate fiber and fluff is present on the woven fabric surface.
