Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method and a fixing solution for improving the fixing speed of a photographic recording material.
CONSTITUTION: This fixing method of an exposed and developed silver halide based color photographic material includes a process where the material is fixed with the fixing solution containing thiosulfate and a thioether compd. for accelerating the fixing speed, and the fixing is executed (a) under the presence of the iodide for retarding the fixing speed and (b) substantially without the presence of an iron chelate bleaching agent. This fixing solution contains the mixture of thiosulfate and thioether.
