PURPOSE: To obtain a photoreceptor superior in photosensitive characteristics with a simple equipment, by allowing an electric current to flow through a cylinder composed of 2 kinds of conductive resins different from each other in electric resistance, and drying and fixing a photosensitive material coated on the cylinder suface with heat produced by the current.
CONSTITUTION: The inside layer 2 of a cylinder is formed with a conductive resin considerably raised in conductivity, obtained by dispersing carbon power into a phenol resin or the like, and the surface layer 1 of the cylinder is formed with the similar conductive resin lowered in conductivity. A photosensitive material is coated on the obtained cylinder surface, voltage is applied to electrodes 3, 4 to lead a current, and the material is dried and fixed with the heat produced to obtain an intended electrophotographic receptor, thus permitting the equipment of a drying oven or the like to be made unnecessary, solvent to be efficiently removed because the material is heated and hardened from the side of the cylinder, and a photoreceptor superior in characteristics to be obtained.
