Title:
HYDROGEN GENERATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0633283
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To eliminate deficiency of water and to secure hydrogen generating capacity by arranging a water electrolytic cell using a proton conductive membrane in a water chamber, simultaneously supplying water and discharging O2 and water through a communicating hole formed in a partition wall on the O2 side and taking out H2 from an H2 outlet passage.

CONSTITUTION: This H. generator is formed with a water chamber, a proton conductive membrane 21 arranged in the water chamber, partition walls 31 and 33 on the O2 side, partition walls 23 and 25 on the H2 side, an H2 outlet passage, etc. The annular partition walls 31 and 33 having a specified thickness demarcate an O2 generating chamber 19 on the one surface side of the have membrane 21 and have a hole 33o communicating with the water chamber. The annular partition walls 23 and 25 demarcate an H2 generating chamber 18 on the other surface side of the membrane 21 and are provided with an H2 outlet passage consisting of communicating holes 27H-21H and 30H-35H.
