Abstract:
PURPOSE: The titled composition capable of controlling efficiently a wide kinds of weeds such as Echinochloa crus-galli Beauv. var. praticola Ohwi., bulrush, water nutgrass, water chestnut, etc., safe for paddy rice plants, having synergistic effects, obtained by blending ethofumesate with chlomethoxynil in a specific ratio.
CONSTITUTION: 2-Ethoxy-2, 3-dihydro-3, 3-dimethyl-5-benzofuranylmethanesulfonate(ethofumesate) is blended with 2,4-dichlorophenyl-4-nitro-3-methoxyphenyl ether (chlomethoxynil) in equivalent amounts (preferably 50W200g/10 are active ingredient, respectively), to give a composition contaning the blend as an active ingredient. Being applied approximately at transplanting of paddy rice plant.
