PURPOSE: To enhance power generating performance and reliability and reduce the volume of a stack by forming a cell on one side of a hollow substrate having an opening at only one end, and loosely inserting a gas introducing pipe into a gas passage in the substrate to separate a gas not yet passed in the substrate from a gas already passed.
CONSTITUTION: A hollow substrate 11 having an opening at only one end is formed with an electrode material. A cell is formed on one side of the substrate 11 and a projection 14 on the other side. A gas introducing pipe 53 is inserted into a gas passage in the substrate and passed through a fixing plate 51, then fixed to it. A porous conductor 59 is arranged between the substrates 11 to electrically connect the substrates 11, and fixed with a fixing plate 58 to separate a gas flowing on the inside of the substrate from a gas flowing on the outside. A stack in which gas sealing portions are reduced, formation of a thin film electrolyte is made possible, internal resistance is low, and a space is reduced can be fabricated.
