PURPOSE: To provide a method and a device capable of promptly and completly removing deionized water from the container of an ophthalmologic lens.
CONSTITUTION: When liquid is removed from the container 12 provided with a bowl part 28 for housing the liquid and a hydrophilic ophthalmologic lens and a flange part 30, the nozzle provided with a center surface and a shoulder part around the peripheral edge part of the center surface 18 is used. The shoulder part 20 is provided with a sealing means in a size to be tightly adhered to the flange part 30 of the container 12, and by forming a sealing space equal to the volume of the bowl and 28 above the bowl part 28 of the container 12, the center surface 18 is positioned above the lens inside the bowl part 28. A least one fluid inlet passage 24 and at least one fluid outlet passage 26 are passage through the center surface 18 and both passage are arranged so as to make the flow of fluid for purging introduced to the sealing space so as not to move the lens be practically symmetric around the center axis of the lens. Then, to the fluid inlet passage 24, a fluid purging source of supplying the fluid of pressure and flow velocity sufficient for removing practically all the liquid is connected.
