PURPOSE: To obtain the title composition which can give a cured product excellent in mechanical properties, etc., by mixing an organic polymer of a specified composition with a polymer of a monomer having a polymerizable unsaturation and easily dispersible cubic calcium carbonate in a specified ratio.
CONSTITUTION: An alkylene oxide is polymerized in the presence of a composite metal cyanide complex (e.g. zinc hexacyanocobaltate) as a catalyst and an initiator (e.g. hydroxy compound) to produce a polyoxyalkylene polymer of a number-average molecular weight of 5000 or above. At least 0.3, on the average per molecule, silicon-containing group of the formula (wherein R1 is a 1-20C monovalent hydrocarbon group; X is a hydrolyzable group; and a is 1, 2 or 3) is introduced into the terminal of this polymer to produce an organic polymer. The organic polymer is mixed with a polymer of a monomer having a polymerizable unsaturation (e.g. polyacrylonitrile) and 10-300 pts.wt., per 100 pts.wt. total of polymer components, easily dispersible cubic calcium carbonate of a mean particle diameter of 0.05-1μm to produce the title composition.
