PURPOSE: To provide the titled sheet having smooth surface and excellent texture, by forming a polymer coating film on a releasing paper, applying a coating agent composed of thermally expandable particles and a binder containing a solvent inert to the particle to the coating film, laminating a fiber sheet to the coated surface, and foaming the particles.
CONSTITUTION: A polymer coating film is applied to a releasing paper, and the film is coated with a thermally expandable coating agent composed of (A) 5W 20pts.wt. of thermoplastic polymer particles having an average diameter of 1W 100μ, preferably 5W50μ and containing a volatile liquid expansion agent (e.g. alkane, alkene, petroleum ether, etc.) and (B) 100W150pts.wt. of a resin binder dissolved or dispersed in a solvent inert to said particle. The amount of the coating agent is 50W250g/m2 (as wet weight). A fiber sheet material is pressed to the coated surface, and the laminate is heated and foamed at 100W160°C. The objective sheet containing porous resin impregnated in the substrate and having excellent cushioning property can be manufactured by releasing the releasing paper from the foamed laminate.
