Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the reading characteristic of the titled device, to shorten the display time sharply and to reduce the cost thereof by a method wherein a character display tube is used as a gear position display tube and the tube is made to perform a self-diagonal display function at the same time. CONSTITUTION:When a controller 2 detects that a sensor or an actuator is out of order, an abnormality signal is transmitted from a clock data circuit to a display section. This signal is outputted from a driver 13 after it is waveform- shaped by a register 11 and a decoder 12 of a display section control circuit and is introduced to a seven segment AND circuit 16 through a display tube operating surplus circuit so that a numerical character 1 is outputted to a two segment AND circuit 17. In this case, as a pulse signal from a pulse oscillator has already been inputted to the circuit 17, a waveform pulse is outputted from the circuit 17 to an alarm lamp 18 to thereby flash the latter.
