PURPOSE: To eliminate the occurrence of swell and cracks of a decorative laminated sheet at the bending time by placing a coating material on the part to be bent of the sheet and then bending the sheet, thereby eliminating the abrupt heating of the surface of the sheet and averaging the temperature attained by heating of the surface.

CONSTITUTION: When a thermosetting resin decorative laminated sheet such as a melamine decorative laminated sheet or the like is bent, the following coating material is placed on the part to be bent, and the sheet is then bent. The material may be of any form such as liquid, jelly, putty, powder, film, sheet and plate. Colors are not particularly limited, but preferably dense and specially black. The material of the coating material is not limited, but may be, for example, black polypropylene film or gray putty, black aqueous paint, etc.
