PURPOSE: An adhesive tape, prepared by forming a rough surface layer of polypropylene resin (PP) containing inorganic fine particles in a thickness of the maximal particle diameter of the fine particles or less without voids, etc. on the rear of a PP resin base material having an adhesive layer, and having a high total light transmittance and improved writing and copying properties.

CONSTITUTION: An adhesive tape prepared by forming A rough surface layer consisting of a polypropylene resin (PP), preferably propylene-ethylene copolymer having a lower melting point than a base material resin, conraining inorganic fine particles having prefeably the maximal particle diameter of 10μ, and having a thickness of the maximal particle diameter of the fine particles or less without voids on the PP resin base material, preferably containing 95W50wt% PP and 5W 50wt% methylpentene polymer, having an adhesive layer on the surface thereof. The tape is obtained by forming the adhesive layer on the surface and the rough surface layer on the rear to give a laminate, drawing the resultant laminate at a temperature of the melting point of the propylene copolymer or above, and making the thickness of the rough surface layer the maximal particle diameter of the fine particles or less.
