Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a forward 5 or 6 speed epicyclic gear train with a overdrive of simple construction by forming an automatic change gear from two sets of epicyclic gears, six clutches, and two brakes. CONSTITUTION:An automatic change gear is formed by a set of a 1st epicyclic gear G1 comprising a 1st sun gear S1, a 1st internal gear R1, a 1st pinion-carrier PC1, set of a 2nd epicyclic gear G2 comprising a 2nd sun gear S2, a 2nd internal gear R2, a 2nd pinion carrier PC2, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th clutches, namely, C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C6, and 1st, 2nd brakes B1, B2. Thus, using two sets of epicyclic gears, a forward 5 or 6 speed epicyclic gear train with a overdrive of simple construction can be obtained.
