PURPOSE: To enable to automatically winding up and letting out a mooring line through a remote operation, by a method wherein two rotatable cylindrical posts provided with a plurality of grooves can be freely driven, and each of the posts is provided with a guide device for a mooring line and a brake gear.
CONSTITUTION: Two rotatable cylindrical posts 2, 3 installed on a fixed base 1 can be freely rotated by separate respective driving gears, are provided with a plurality of mooring line winding grooves at the peripheries thereof, and are provided with morring line guide devices 11, 18, respectively. The brake gears are incorporated respectively in the posts 2, 3. By winding the mooring line 5 around the posts 2, 3 in a 8-shaped pattern, it is enabled to automatically wind up and let out the mooring line 5 through a remote operation.
