PURPOSE: To attain ease of manufacture of a driving IC and to improve the mounting efficiency on a display device by dividing the driving IC into two and utilizing two kinds of pulses and a DC voltage to modulate a clock.
CONSTITUTION: The driving IC is divided into two segments 44A, 44B, they are arranged along a back plate, and the IC44A supplies a control signal to control electrodes 15a, 15c, 15e∼15m and the IC44B supplies a control signal to control electrodes 15b, 15d∼15n; thus, the control signal is applied separately to an odd number order of electrodes and an even number of electrodes. Thus, the control signal corresponding to the signal electrodes of the control electrodes 15a, 15c, 15d∼15m is outputted from the IC44A and the control signal corresponding to the control electrodes 15b, 15d∼15n is outputted from the IC44B.
