PURPOSE: To enhance stability of operation of downstream releasing by arranging the body of a draft tube in the width direction of the tailrace in the main gate and thereby preventing released water colliding from causing vibrations.
CONSTITUTION: Inside the main gate 11, draft tubes 18A, 18B are installed penetrating the main gate 11 in the flow direction A of the tailrace 12. These draft tubes 18A, 18B are composed of an intake 19 connected with generators 15A, 15B at the upper flow of main gate 11, a body 20 arranged in the main gate 11 across the flow direction, i.e. in the width direction of tailrace 12, and an outlet 21 opened to the downstream of the main gate 11. Accordingly the overhung part 23 to the downstream of main gate 11 can be minimized, and stability of the whole facility enhanced.
