PURPOSE: To provide a dust collector which has only the advantages of a cyclone type and a bag filter type and permits the reduction in size by providing bag filters in an inside cylinder concentrical with a sealed outside cylinder, and providing flow regulating plates in the lower part between the outside cylinder and the inside cylinder.
CONSTITUTION: The gas entering the dust collector through a gas inflow port 1 swirls and falls in the cylindrical space between an outside cylinder 15 and an inside cylinder 16. The heavier dusts among the gases 3 in the gas fall by the own weight, pass the inside of the clearances α for dust falling formed between flow regulating plates 18 and the inside circumferential surface of the cylinder 15 and are accumulated in the lower part in the cylinder 15. The lighter dusts 3 enter the holes 17 in the bottom plate 16A of the cylinder 16 and are captured by bag filters 12, whereby the filtration of the gas is thoroughly effected. Since only the light dusts are captured in the bag filters, the bag filters are less liable to clog. Since the gas trying to enter the holes of the inside cylinder from between the inside and outside cylinders is guided by the plates 18, the blowing up of the dust accumulated in the lower part in the outside cylinder by said gas is obviated; therefore, the height of the outside cylinder is made smaller and the size thereof smaller.
