PURPOSE: To change continuously color density, and to execute easily a color correction of each color, by providing a polarizing colored filter which can change an angle of polarization, as a color correcting filter, in an exposure path for exposing a photosensitive material to form an image as it is.
CONSTITUTION: An original 11a is irradiated by an illuminating lamp 12, reflected light from the original 11a is led into a photoconductive cylinder 14a, and is made to form an image on a photosensitive material 20 through a lens system 15, a polarizing colored filter 16 provided on a filter part 15a, a polarizing achromatic filter 17 which can rotate a phase, etc. In that case, by phase-rotating the polarizing achromatic filter 17 placed on an optical path in the state of a color polarized wave which passes through the polarizing colored filter 16, the quantity of light which reaches the surface of the photosensitive material 20 can be varied continuously to bright view from dark view by an extent of the rotating angle. In this way, a color correction can be executed easily, and an efficient printing operation can be executed.
