Title:
INSOLUBLE ANODE MADE OF PB ALLOY FOR ELECTROPLATING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5928599
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide an insoluble anode made of Pb alloy showing especially excellent duraility used in performing electroplating by using a sulfuric acid plating bath, containing Ag and Sn respectively in a predetermined ratio and comprising the remainder Pb and inevitable impurities. CONSTITUTION:An insoluble electrode is constituted from Pb alloy containing, on the basis of wt%, 0.5-5% Ag, 0.5-10% Sn and comprising the remainder Pb and inevitable impurities. The insoluble anode made of the Pb alloy shows excellent durability not only in a usual electroplating bath but also, especially, in a sulfuric acid type electroplating bath. This durability is investigated as wt. reduction by such a method that a test piece comprising the aforementioned Pb alloy is immersed in an acidic sulfuric acid solution as an anode to be subjected to plating treatment and shown by the drawing.
