Abstract:
Method of rolling medium and thin walled seamless tubing involves rolling an elongated body (5) of limited length using bevel rolls (1) having a reducing pt. (9) of 2-10 deg. incline connected to a arc-shaped transition (10) and almost cylindrical smooth pt. (11) with a 0-1 deg. incline to the work surface (12) of the inner mandrel (4). Finally, the roll has a diverging exit surface (13). The working surface (12) of the mandrel has a greater length than the smooth part (11) of the roll and the work surface (12) starts in front of the smooth part (11) of the roll.
