Abstract:

PURPOSE: To mitigate a shock of stoppage of a vehicle body at the time of operation of a brake in accordance with a running speed just before a tilt to neutral when running is stopped or the direction of running is changed over to the forward or backward, and to stop the vehicle body on a slope in such a manner that no positional slippage of the vehicle body takes place, in a motor vehicle driven by a drive of a DC motor.

CONSTITUTION: In a motor vehicle of which a DC motor 1 is driven by a PWM system and which has an electromagnetic parking brake 13, a tilt detecting sensor 14 is provided and the electromagnetic parking brake 13 is operated immediately when a running operation lever 8 is set at a neutral position at the time when a vehicle body tilts, while the brake 13 is operated after passage of a braking standby time T1 set on the basis of a pulse width of a running speed just before, when the lever is set at the neutral position on a flat place. At the time when the running operation lever 8 is switched over to the forward running or the backward, besides, a driving standby time T2 is set on the basis of a pulse width of the running speed immediately before the switch-over, and a drive for running is conducted after this time passes after the switchover.
