PURPOSE: To provide a recording device for a computer hologram not requiring precise positioning at the time of exposure.

CONSTITUTION: A region designation device 12 divides a region on an exposed surface of a roll film 14 capable of magnetic recording into plural regions and produces a region map showing positional relations of neighbouring regions of each of the divided regions. A computer 16, in accordance with a set condition of a mathematical model of an imagined object and others, computes an interference fringe pattern in each of the regions. The computed interference fringe pattern is displayed on a monitor 20. The displayed interference fringe pattern is exposed on the roll film 14. A region information recording device 22 magnetically records information showing the exposed region in reference to the region map on the roll film 14 through a magnetic recording head 24.
