Abstract:
A process for the purification of riboflavin prepared by fermentation, which is characterised in that the contaminated riboflavin is suspended in water or in dilute aqueous acid and the suspension is heated with stirring to temperatures of 75 to 130 DEG C for 0.3 to 3 hours, a crystal change taking place, and, after cooling, the purified product being isolated in a manner known per se.
