Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by the formula I [R1 is H, or 1W4C alkyl; R2 is 1W8C alkylene; R3 is H, 1W15C alkyl, or CH2-A-R4 (A is cis-vinylene, or acetylene; R4 is 1W12C alkyl); double bond between C10-C11 shows E].
EXAMPLE: ( 5RS )-6,7-Dihydro-5, 8-methano- 13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20 -octanol-leukotriene B4.
USE: An antiphlogistic and an antiallergic. Having an antagonism on leukotriene B4.
PROCESS: An aldehyde compound shown by the formula II (R1a is 1W4C alkyl) is reacted with an allenylboric acid or allenylborate shown by the formula III(R5 is H, or 1W4C alkyl) in an inert organic solvent at -78°CW room temperature, and, if necessary, saponified, to give a compound shown by the formula I .
